Vacation in Costa Rica!

I've been MIA for a while! The last week of May and first weeks of June have been cray! I finished all of my finals, basically marking the end of the school year. In celebration I decided to get away for a while. When I say getting away I guess I mean leaving the chaos of the city and going into the jungle, Waa! I flew on a tiny little airplane through a STORM to arrive at Jurassic Park... ok maybe not but that's what it looked like. After a 45min flight from San Jose to Nosara, Costa Rica.

xoxo Gossip Girl

So I finally got Season 6 of gg OMG can not wait to watch it. So if your wondering, why am I so late? The reason is that in the country I live in they are really behind with the seasons, even Netflix(only goes up to season 3) O hell no!! So I had to pay extra for Netflix from the US. I got so addicted to this show that I would literally stay up until the sun was shining outside...#cray. So when I finished season 5, OBVIOUSLY I began having withdrawal syndrome! I had to get the next season but because they don't sell it here I had to wait for Spring Break when I would be going to LA. But since the new season had just come out around that time, it was sold out :( Luckly my mom found it and bought it for me! Thank God for mothers.

Gossip Girl has made my life interesting. It fills me with joy and happiness. I honestly love all 5 seasons I've watched but I do have my favourite parts!

Serena and Blair BFFs all the way I love these two scenes. The Paris episode is the best! And in season 1 when they steal dresses from Blair's mom's photo shoot.

The main reason I watch this show is for Chuck and Blair. I think every scene with these two in it are my favourites! These are older episodes but I really like them in the new one. They are so cute! I almost died at the end of season 5 when Blair shows up at the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monaco.

So the DVD comes with a bonus: Free Audiobook download of It Had To Be You the Prequel to Gossip Girl which tells us all about what happened before and why Serena left to boarding school (which we all should already know). Three disc with 3-4 episodes in each.

 

I so can't wait to start watching it!!!

May: Favourite Songs of the Month!

Ok, so if you were watching the 2013 MTV movie awards in April you would so agree that these two are quite the performers! This song is my latest jam and not only the song but the duo's whole new album: HEIST!

Avicii ft. Lana Del Rey- Dance In the Water

During the 2013 Miami Ultra Music Festival this guy (Avcii) "stirred up some controversy" as he states on a FB post March 25th clearing up a bit of confusion with his fans. I'm a huge fan of Avicii, but I was still a bit confused with wtf was going on during his live ultra set on UMF TV. He took this time to expirement with different type of sounds using a live cover of a song, with EDM and acoustic instruments (interesting). I mean in the end music is art and you should experiment with it. Sooo..."YOU GO GLENN COCO!" I honestly do wish that the live cover would have been someone like Lana Del Rey but the last song made up for it (Dance in the Water!) Avicii doesn't need to explain himself, let him do what he do.

Aside from this GQ mag wrote an article about him that was bull****! Again Avicii posts on FB his thoughts on the article. Dj deadmau5 tweeted to Avicii "@Avicii hi. But wtf dude, GQ... For douchebags, by douchebags. You can't out douche the inventors of douche. Laugh it off and crash a Ferrari" Avicii tweeting back "Hi Joel".

May: Spring has Sprung!

J'aime Paris au printemps

I would like to share with you my favourites for the month of April since today is the first of May. Being that it is spring, I have been obsessing over pastels and bold colours all at the same time. The two are very different but I have found that it looks very pretty paring up the two. I love Essie so much since ever season they bring out about 4 or 5 (not sure) new colours in each collection and about 3 collections. Another two favs I would like to include is the Versace Bright Crystal perfume (it smells so lovely!) and the EOS lip balms in sweet mint, raspberry, strawberry sorbet, and honey suckle.

 The three nail polishes that I absolutely love this month is a purple, a blue, and a sparkle top coat (sparkles!) 

Essie: Bond With Whomever

This colour is sooo gorg it goes on like a very pastel grapey purple.

Essie: Avenue Maintain

This is almost like a blue jeans colour. Goes on a bit darker than what it looks like in the bottle.

Essie: Set in Stones

OMG can someone say fab-u-lous! This is super sparkly, but you're still going to need a undercoat to go with.

 

*TIPS: First paint you nails with a hot pink fuchsia type colour, then only on the tips of your nails paint them with 'Set in Stones'. This looks so pretty! A modern take on the classic French tips.

 

 

-Versace Bright Crystal- 

This perfume smells so good and I love the bottle, it looks so glamorous, and makes a great addition to my perfume collection. I think I mainly bought this for the bottle because the top looks like a diamond! But after I bought it I realized how good it smells on me. Its very fresh but fruity as well. Super girly, I love it.

 

EOS lip balms! ok so everyone has been going #cray for these lip balms and I can see why. They are 100% organic and amazing. I have four colours at the moment and cant wait to get more. I liked them so much that for Easter I bought all of my best friends one and gave it to them in an Easter basket/bag. I currently have very chapped lips because I am taking Accutane and these are literally my life savers, they soothe and smooth my ridiculously dry lips.

Here is a pic of the Easter baskets/bags I made for my bffs! Inside are different EOS lip balms and jelly beans. They were so happy and loved it.

Only cool kids have folding RayBans!

 

Everyone's been going #cray over these hot shades! Even youtuber '@JacksGap' Jack Harris raved about them tweeting: "Only cool kids have folding RayBans..." (so true) posting this pic on his instagram.

So what's so great about them? For starters they are super chic, and they take up so little space in you handbag. I absolutely love Ray Ban for these sunglasses. I never knew were to put my old shades so I would just end up throwing them in my purse, and this would cause them to scratch :( This doesn't happen anymore with my new Ray Bans! You see they come with this really pretty leather protective case that is about have the size of your iPhone 5. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but they are still so cool!
